What is Twitter For?
Our new format is moving the homepage blog to the homepage as part of making websites more dynamic than a static page that never updates. The goal overall of a twitter account is for the office staff and doctor to update patients about everything that only takes a few seconds.
The twitter feed should go at the very top of the page content underneath the banner. It should relay important messages or be used to call attention to previous blog postings. A good example would be a Support Group session that was posted to the blog a few weeks prior and is not longer on the top of the page. The twitter account can be used to put update patients that Support Group will be later today. Another practical use would be to update everyone the office will be closed for Columbus Day, is on Lunch for one hour, or that you have moved locations, or running late to Nutrition Class. This is of course in a addition to important blog posts on inspiration or healthy living.
