Buyers often go through a set of phases that are part of their buying process. Buyers and Sellers are typically not conscience of the process, however it does occur.
There are needs everywhere and people generally begin a search once a problem arises. It can be hunger that leads to a simple search on google for ‘great pizza san antonio’ for example. The need may be a disaster like a broken air condition or a celebration.
This consists of two searches Internal, and External. Internal is the recollection of memories and can include favorite locations or a place a friend told them about. External search is a process of understanding more, asking coworkers, searching online, visiting by walking around.
Evaluation of Alternatives
At this point a potential customer will evaluate a product or service worthiness based on known information. Priorities may be beyond business control or present themselves as opportunities. For example a particular customer may be looking for a vegan restaurant, or a specific German auto repair shop.
How does the potential client purchase the product? Online, at a physical store, buying both products. There may be a need to present a concierge that can assist customers in a store with their purchase or purchases.
Can be determined by product availability if the location was too busy or if there was a convenient enough means of final purchase.
This is more important than we realize as it determines if a consumer is likely to refer your service again, or avoid it at all cost.
