Marketing that Counts
Recently I just kicked off a project to promote calorie counting in bariatric clinics. While the assumption is simple patients just download one, physicians need to have access to what their patients are eating.
The process starts off simple develop a program that patients find simple enough to use on their phones. Then capture the data so physicians can track their patients progress and have a general idea before their next visit.
I imagine this could lead to patient distrust and possibly apprehensiveness to entering calories knowing their doctor may see it. But for physicians to give patients a strict diet and have that information readily available in a branded format is also essential.
From a marketing perspective it should also be useful for differentiating the practice and improving patient accountability outcomes, while reducing work loads from dietitians, physicians, and physician assistants.
