Schedule Seminar Content Page
This page should clearly explain the seminar process and what occurs during a seminar. Initially this was often considered the final conversion page in the funnel browsing devices have changed enough that conversions can happen in a variety of ways. Someone can convert after a promotional email, saved calendar date, or contact form on a blog post.
The most important takeaway from a Schedule Seminar Content Page should be a patient understanding of the seminar process and invite users to learn more in person. Even a patient already signed up for a seminar would approve being able to review the process ahead of time.
The first paragraph should go over where seminars are held. Some practices have online platforms but the majority will have them in the office or in a hotel convention room. We happen to prefer in person seminars as it’s the most committed step. However some patients will be from out of town needing a phone consultation which requires more focus and planning. Regardless the seminar format should be explained and summarized in one paragraph, either powerpoint, group circle, online, or by phone. Some practices will have multiple offices so it is useful to mention those offices and their formats.
The next paragraph should very briefly discuss who will be doing the seminar. If for example the surgeon will be giving the seminar then there should still be a brief bio summarizing their background in presenting and communication skills. Surgical expertise can be conveyed briefly but is intended to be prominent on the surgeon’s bio page. The vast majority of pages dedicated to the practice will talk about surgical skill and many patients should have some level of familiarity. If the Surgeon is not available to give the seminar the page can also refer to the other presenters and their skills delivering a seminar.
The last paragraph would again briefly cover the seminar format. The majority of practices use powerpoint presentations but some may use games, quizzes, or open forums. Some strictly prohibit reservations while others prefer reservations but welcome walk-ins. We tend to prefer not to make things complicated no matter how convenient it may be to require reservations only.
A final paragraph summarizing the seminar process can be added but is not necessary.
We recommend listing the calendar dates of the seminar prominently and linking the ics file to the days so users can save the event.
A photo of the seminar room with the presenter are also important to provide a visual idea of the size of the room, and seating capacity.
The third item we recommend is a detailed custom contact form. Typically people choose not to fill out longer forms but on seminar pages we notice a higher conversion rate. The form should include Insurance, group number, and ID number fields for the practice.
